COVID-19 Office Updates

We are excited to announce the gradual re-opening of our clinic. Routine eye examinations at Brookswood Optometry will resume June 1st. Right now, we are getting the clinic ready with the recommended health and safety protocols provided by the College of Optometrists of British Columbia. If you are not quite ready to come to the clinic, phone consultations and telehealth are still available. We will be re-booking patients with priority to those individuals that had appointments canceled in March/April/May. We will be seeing fewer patients each day to ensure everyone’s safety and will do our best to accommodate you. Entry to the clinic is by appointment only. Once in our clinic, please continue to respect physical distancing whenever possible.

In preparation for your visit:
• You must bring a mask, which is to be worn at all times
• You will be asked screening questions for COVID-19 symptoms
• Please come to your appointment alone
• We will not charge a cancellation fee if you re-schedule your appointment when you are unwell

When you arrive:
• Please wait in your car or in the parking lot and call the office
• Leave all unnecessary items in your vehicle, including food & drink
• When you are confirmed entry, you will be required to sanitize your hands
• Your temperature will be taken with a non-contact thermometer

Precautions we are taking:
• Personal protective equipment will be worn by staff
• We will be sanitizing between appointments using a medical grade disinfectant

Following your appointment:
• Payment will be taken with credit or debit card only (no cash)
• Sanitize your hands again before you leave

We look forward to seeing our patients in the office soon!
